Short version: we keep what we need to help you improve, nothing is sold, and you can delete it all whenever you want.
Your email, name, and password (stored only as a one-way hash), your goal score and test date, and your practice history: which answer you picked, whether it was right, how long it took, how many hints you used, and your practice test scores. That's what powers your skill map, score range, and review.
No ads. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't use it to train AI models.
When you chat with Coach, your message and the question you're working on are sent to Anthropic (the company that makes Claude) to write the reply. We don't save the conversation. Coach only sees your first name, never your email.
Voice mode is off unless you turn it on. Listening and speaking are done by your web browser's built-in speech features, so Climb36 never receives or stores your voice, only the words your browser hears, which go to Coach like a typed message. Some browsers (Chrome, for example) send audio to their own speech service to turn it into text; that's covered by your browser's privacy policy.
Off by default. If you create a parent link, anyone with it can see your practice time, score range, and skills, but not your individual answers or chats. If you add a parent's email, we send them that same summary once a week (through our email provider, Resend), and every email has a link to stop them. You can make a new link, remove the email, or turn it all off at any time from your home page.
Pro is billed through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them. We keep only your plan, its renewal date, and Stripe's customer number for you. We email you before every renewal, and you can cancel in one click on your Plan page.
We only email you for password resets and renewal reminders, plus the weekly parent summary if you turn it on. No marketing lists.
Go to your goal settings and choose Delete my account. Your account, history, scores, and parent link are deleted permanently, right away, and any Pro plan is canceled immediately so you're never charged again. Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires. Anonymous counts (like how many students got a question right) stay, with no link to you.
